Welcome to the FQA Home Page July 2018

The Fellowship of Quakers in the Arts has as its purpose “to nurture and showcase the literary, visual, musical, and performing arts within the Religious Society of Friends, for purposes of Quaker expression, ministry, witness, and outreach. To these ends, we will offer spiritual, practical, and financial support as way opens.”

Gathering Quaker Arts Center (QAC)

Friends are invited to contribute original artwork to FGC’s Quaker Arts Center (QAC) during the Gathering. We welcome all media and modes of art and expect to be able to accommodate performance artists with short pieces that can be done in intimate, informal spaces.

FQA is looking forward to its next national Arts Project, to happen in May of 2018

The Arts in The Beloved Community (2018 FQA National Arts Project)

The hope for the 2018 FQA national art events ( May -December 2018) is not only to have art representing diversity in our relationships in the FQA community, but to widen that community to be inclusive of others outside of our usual group.

There are many FQA Artists and Meetings who already have relationships with other local art organizations and individuals…we would love you to hear about them! Please consider writing up a paragraph or two about your own such artistic partnerships ( Email dpulone@comcast.net).

FQA can support you as you plan, and small financial contributions are available on a first come basis. FQA IS its own “beloved community”, but we can only be richer by expanding our connections!

Here are some events planned so far under The Art of the Beloved Community ( organize your own, make some new connections! Email dpulone@comcast.net with your ideas or events.)
